Glaslyn Artisan of the Flame

Crusader History

Lord Balatair la Roder    "Crusader History"

This class will primarily deal with the conditions leading to the first and second crusades.   You will discuss some major players, tactics, armor, and weapons used.  There should be an armor and weapons display.

Time line and Background sheets provided.

Balatair started in the SCA the last year Altanita was a Principality, before it became a Kingdom.  He was one of the first 7 Dons (at that time called the Order of the Guardsman) of the East Kingdom.  He's been Queens Rapier (1994), and has received the Star of Merit.
