On the left: Basic short split-hem over-tunic with long cuffs, standup collar, and laced front. Tunics of many varieties were worn throughout the medieval period.

On the right: A Norman Bliaut of the 12th-13th century. Gores in blue material(sides and back), pointed angel style sleeves lined with blue, fitted undersleeves matching dress, and lacing down sides.
